ALC Property Services, offering a portfolio of rental and investment properties throughout England.

Brief:

With a growing list of properties, ALC needed a site that shows off each rental unit to its best advantage, while allowing easy listing updates, and accomodating future growth.

Logo, property photos and graphics.

A light touch seemed in order: house and home hunting is a stressful undertaking, often provoking information overload in those engaged in it. At the same time, the scope for "creativity" in a listings site is (usefully) constrained by user expectations.

The client hoped to add occasional news clippings about investing in the property market. Experience has taught us that people often underestimate the commitment required to keep news fresh - and underestimate how quickly internet users sense staleness. Accordingly, we recommended a automatic RSS feed from a real-estate news aggregator instead.

This is a site that will grow with its proprietor's business. Categorization of property by location and size is already in place, but a full implementation of search and filter capabilities will only be switched on once a certain critical mass of properties is reached. We know that website users dislike navigational overkill.
