Drupal is a powerful and flexible open source Content Management System - with a reputation for being difficult to theme. We think that reputation is undeserved - a point we've proven again and again.
Drupal themes are free - aren't they?
There's always something new - and free - at Drupal's theme page, and before you pay anyone to do work for you, we strongly recommend that you glance at existing options. Even if none of the designs fully capture your vision, many of them serve well as a basis for your own modifications.
That said, commissioning a custom theme for Drupal need not be expensive. A clean, professional and unique design is within reach of even the most meagre of budgets.
Do You Have To Share Your Theme?
Drupal is an open source platform licensed under the GPL. Occasionally people worry that, because of this licensing, they are obligated to share - to give away - their site's design.
This is not the case - as drupal.org itself demonstrates by its choice to withhold its own theme (bluebeach by Steven Wittens) from general distribution. You are free to do whatever you wish with your Drupal theme. The only condition imposed by the GPL is the requirement that you make source code available with anything you distribute, and the understanding that parties downstream from you are equally permitted to distribute anything they get from you.
Implementing your new Drupal theme
Experienced Drupal users know that activating a new theme is as simple as checking a single box.
If you're new to Drupal - or to content management systems in general - we're happy to install your new theme and populate a few pages.
We document every Drupal theme carefully. If you have any experience in html/css, you'll find it easy to alter or update your site as your vision and requirements change.
